Local visual analysis designed for a specific public, rural or industrial task—with privacy, uncertainty and maintenance treated as system requirements.

Computer vision is useful only when the observation has a clear operational purpose. This line explores small models that run near the camera and transmit events or counts instead of continuous video. Each proposal is evaluated against simpler sensors, changing light, occlusion, false detections and the people affected by the system.

  1. People or vehicle counting without retaining identifiable video.
  2. Detection of defined conditions in routes, facilities or processes.
  3. Edge inference with explicit confidence and human review.
